I have two bugs to report as follows.
Firstly: uDig for both Windows and Mac cannot be started up smoothly.
I downloaded the dmg file, and drag uDig to /Application directory. Then I click "uDig", trying to launch it. However, uDig quitted immediately. Even the icon could not be seen in Dock.
Then I browse "/Applications/udig/udig.app/Contents/MacOS", and then directly launch "udig_internal". Then uDig finally launched sucesuflly. But there is several error messages listed below:

Windows version acted quite the same. I installed uDig, but I cannot see program information in "Uninstall or Modify program" page of Windows Control Panel.
Then I clicked on "uDig" icon in "Start" menu folder. A console flash up and out, but nothing appeared. I look into task manager and found a process named "udig_internal". Its memory usage kept increasing, but suddenly disappeared as it increased to about 60kBs.
Then I try the "console" way as Mac ver. I open the directory where uDig was installed with control. then I executed "dig.bat". Finally, uDig launched sucefully.
Secondly: uDig could not open my she file, no mater Windows or Mac ver.
My operation steps: File -> Open Map -> Select my .shp file -> Open
Then uDig told me: "An unexpected error occurred while reading the map file. Pleas send error log."
What happened? I don't think there is anything error in my .shp file because they were successfully imported by GEOServer and displayed correctly. Meanwhile, uDig mentioned "error log", but I did not know where to find it.
