No, I'm sorry, we don't. I've never figured out how to get that working
(though I've never even tried). You can submit it as a wish to jira!
Not that it'll make me start working on it, but at least I won't forget
that someone wants it. On the up side I'd like a 1.2.0-rc1 out on
friday, so at the very least we can try to get releases out relatively
often, and you can try it out soon. If you want the latest you have to
build off of cvs, which isn't too hard. check out
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=25086
Then you just need ant, which is super easy to install, and then you
type 'ant war', and it'll make the war right up for you. And I just
added 'ant test', which will deploy geoserver right there for you on
port 8080, you can connect right away.

Do you guys have a nightly build of the .war file anywhere on sourceforge,
so someone can run the latest server.

Thanks,
Jamie Eyre

Fixed for cite tests. Gabriel actually fixed it correctly, it's just that
cite tests are sucky. They have thier own list of valid types, which are
more than the spec (which is just gml2) but more than are possible. But
none of them are GML2-GZIP. I don't know how to change them, so I'm just
leaving the option out of our capabilities section. Users can still request
it if they know about it. I know, lame solution, but it's the best we can
do and still pass cite tests (which I feel is important as we're the
reference implementation).

WFS capabilities did not validate because it was constructing the xmlschemalocation in the wrong way.
I started with a clean checkout of the code base. When buiding the war with 'ant war', the schemas are copied to /data/capabilities/wfs/1.0.0/

That url was created using Request.getBaseUrl() + "wfs/1.0.0/" + "WFS-capabilities.xsd" so the schema was never found.
That's where the problems came from, since in a previous version of this file, prior to the introduction of Request.getBaseUrl, it was doing WFS_URI + " " + ServerConfig.getInstance().getWFSConfig).getWfsCapLocation();

may be theese changes have coincided with the time when I introduced GML2.gz?

anyway, it should validate now, at least I can validate it since the schema can now be found.

thats for WFS capabilities.

WMS capabilities comes later, it certainly lacks an empty element <VendorSpecificCapabilities/> and is writting and empty <Format/> element, wich is illegal.

I catched the problem, wil commit in an hour or so.
We need to declare the custom output format in the .xsd, also GML2.gz is
illegal, will replace by GML2-GZIP

Does not pass cite tests for wfs or wms. Also cannot create new instances of
cite tests, as it requires a valid capabilities document.
