include Db2 JDBC driver 22.214.171.124
IBM publishes their jdbc driver for Db2 on Maven central under a license which allows redistribution: https://www-03.ibm.com/software/sla/sladb.nsf/lilookup/179A6D1769B0A44D8525862400329FB8?OpenDocument
for settting up online CI with IBM Db2 this dependency is required
I ran into some “mindboggles” with the db2 command line tool, but I think I got things sorted, well at least for GeoTools to run the “online” integration test suite.
there’s 2 shell scripts that live in that are fired from a GH workflow:
I’ll try to find some time to add a note to the dev notes: http://docs.geotools.org/latest/developer/conventions/test/online.html#setting-up-a-database-for-online-testing
Even though it’s quite a sizeable docker image the build + test suite runs in less than 10 minutes. that might be improved with an image that already has a databasebase prepared with spatial setup, but I’m happy as it is now.
Mark, thank you for doing this.
I saw an issue about creating a Docker image for Db2 testing can’t find it now. I captured the script to set it up but didn’t see anything about spatially-enabling the database.
Let me know if you need any assistance.
I had actually wanted to create a public Docker image of Db2 with spatial setup but hadn’t completed the process.
